John Ely is a former MLB pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and current pitching coach in the Chicago White Sox organization. Ely will be available during the MLB/MiLB off-season each year. His career highlights include the following:


  • 1st Team All-State in Illinois at Homewood-Flossmoor High School

  • As a freshman at Miami University (Ohio), led the Mid-American Conference in strikeouts (108 in 103-1/3 innings) and complete games (6) and tied for the conference lead in wins (10)

  • selected to the Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team

  • Selected as a first-team All-Mid-American Conference player as a sophomore

  • Played for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod League in 2006

  • 3rd round draft pick of the Chicago White Sox in the 2007 MLB Draft

  • Played in the MLB with the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2010-2012

  • Current pitching coach for the Great Falls Voyagers in the Chicago White Sox organization

  • 2018 Pioneer League Champions
